Very valuable advice. I’ve known people diagnosed with diabetes or pre diabetes who have been told by their doctors that the goal is now to keep A1C around 6.5 to 7 and anything in that general range is “doing great”. It’s as if the medical community at large is resigned to diabetes not being reversible which, of course, is flat out false. Thanks for bringing attention to this lifesaving information.

The diet recommended here is a mistake. The problem is that you are always hungry because carbs are digested quickly. A low carb diet, high in protein and fat is satisfying for a longer time and there fore you are not tempted to snack. Read Gary Taubes
